This week, a report from U.K.‘s Closer claimed that after the reunion, Schwimmer, 54, and Aniston, 52, began texting and spending time together, including sources saying the pair were spotted at one of Aniston’s favorite wineries in Santa Barbara, Calif., and that Aniston hosted Schwimmer for dinner at her home. Adding fuel to the fire is the fact that Aniston split from ex-husbandJustin Therouxin late 2017, the same year Schwimmer and wife Zoe Buckman divorced. Neither Aniston nor Schwimmer has dated anyone else publicly since their respective divorces. “Petition to have worldwide street parties if it’s confirmed that Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer are actually dating,” one fan tweeted, adding, “Manifesting.” “Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer dating is the uplifting third act plot twist 2021 needs,” another wrote. Another posted a montage of photos of Ross and Rachel, writing, “Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer dating is the real-life ending of Ross Geller and Rachel Green. He’s her lobster.” Unfortunately for all of us who hoped they were one another’s lobsters, a rep for Schwimmer told The Sunthat there is “no truth” to the dating rumors. Still, that doesn’t mean it’s totally out of the question in the future! At the Friends reunion in May, Schwimmer and Aniston confessed to crushing on one another while playing the iconic on-again-off-again couple, which they said was a key to their onscreen chemistry. “The first season I had a major crush on Jen,” Schwimmer admitted on the HBO Max special. “And I think we both, at some point, were crushing hard on each other but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary. We respected that.” Aniston concurred, “It was reciprocated! I remember saying at one point to David, ‘It’s going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is gonna be on national television!’ Sure enough, the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop.
