So far, we’ve weathered a plethora of surprising arrivals, including Bachelorette Season 14 star Becca Kufrin and Season 7 contestant Joe Amabile’s very serious ex, Kendall Long (who finally got the hint that Joe was happy with Serena Pitt and promptly took a hike). Other exits have been just as unexpected: Brendan Morais and Pieper James hit the road last week after the rest of the cast revolted against their behind-the-scenes scheming; the week before, Chris Conran and Alana Milne left under very similar circumstances; and fans were a little crestfallen when both Tahzjuan Hawkins and Tre Cooper decided to make early Season 7 exits. But wait, there’s more! As the teasers for BiP Season 7’s Sept. 28 episode have promised, more drama’s about to go down. This time, the action revolves around Ivan Hall, who’s been pretty low-key until now. On Sept. 21, worried he hadn’t made a love connection that’d keep him on the beach, he made a play for Chelsea Vaughn even though she had been with Aaron Clancy. As the episode ended, there were hints that Ivan did something out-of-bounds at the hotel where the cast and crew had retreated to weather an impending storm. What could possibly happen next on this season of Bachelor in Paradise? Who else might be showing up at—or leaving—the beach? And most importantly, when and where can you watch it? Here’s what we know about Season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise in 2021.
What time is Bachelor in Paradise on?

What happens next on Bachelor in Paradise?
As always, blogger Reality Steve has the scoop! “That night [at the hotel] is where Ivan broke protocol. While they were supposed to be sequestered or stay in their own rooms, Ivan snuck over to Alexa Cave’s room (contestant on Peter’s season [of TheBachelor]) and hung out with her all night,” Steve says. “Producers found out about it and busted them. Alexa was set to come on the show late, but once they got caught, she was never allowed on and Ivan ended up getting kicked off the show. Not sure how Ivan found Alexa’s room, but that’s what happened. Not the worst thing in the world, but hey, rules are rules and he broke them. You’re a bad boy, Ivan. Go to your room.”
Who is hosting Bachelor in Paradise 2021?
Producers announced in June 2021 that Spade, Lil Jon, Tituss Burgess and Lance Bass would share BIP hosting duties following Chris Harrison’s exit from the franchise. Spade was the first guest host of Season 7, followed by Bass and Burgess. It seems Lil Jon will be handling hosting through the end of the season.

It’s not entirely clear when shooting took place, but past seasons have started filming in early June. Director Mike Fleiss even shared a tweet from the first day of filming in 2018 around that time.
Where was Bachelor in Paradise Season 7 filmed?
The show usually films in Mexico at the Playa Escondida resort in Sayulita, Mexico, per IMDb, and a snippet from the show posted to Instagram makes it look like the cast is back in the usual spot. ABC execs previously said they weren’t sure if shooting in Mexico would be possible, and Variety reported that executives were even looking at the possibility of filming in a bubble, similar to how they approached the most recent seasons of The Bachelorette and The Bachelor. Mills told Variety that ABC was “looking at different permutations and scenarios.” “If people can get vaccinated, then maybe we’re back in Mexico,” he explained. “If not, maybe there is a bubble situation in Mexico. We will figure out something—I never know what will happen, but I feel very confident in saying that you will get Bachelor In Paradise next season.”

Is there a Bachelor in Paradise 2021 trailer?

Who’s in the Bachelor in Paradise Season 7 cast?
We have a list, people! These are the starting cast members:
Ivan Hall (from Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams’ season of The Bachelorette)
Ivan is the sweet aeronautical engineer who formed a connection with Tayshia. But Ivan is agnostic, and he had differences of faith with Tayshia, so he was sent packing.
Jessenia Cruz (from Matt James’ season of The Bachelor) OUT
Jessina is best known for getting into a heated debate with M.J. Snyder about whether M.J. was bullying her and other Bachelor contestants. Matt sent M.J. home soon after, but Jessina didn’t last, either.
Abigail Heringer (from Matt’s season of The Bachelor)
Abigail immediately made a splash on Matt’s season, sharing her story of living with deafness and nabbing the first impression rose. But she was frustrated after her relationship with Matt didn’t move forward and her lack of one-on-one time. She was sent home before hometowns.
Kenny Braasch (from Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams’ season of The Bachelorette)
Kenny got a lot of attention before The Bachelorette even started airing for his job description as a “boy band manager.” While Kenny formed a connection with Tayshia, he didn’t last long.
Victoria Larson (from Matt’s season of The Bachelor) OUT
Victoria, aka Queen Victoria, stirred up a lot of drama on Matt James’ season of The Bachelor and spawned memes with her insistence on being called a queen. She came back for BiP Season 7 sporting a new blonde look, but was one of the first three contestants to be eliminated.
Deandra Kanu (from Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor) OUT
Deandra didn’t get super far on Peter’s season of The Bachelor, but she definitely called him out when he spent a lot of time at a group date with Alayah, who returned after leaving the show.
Karl Smith (from Katie’s season of The Bachelor) OUT
The motivational speaker is fresh off Katie’s season of The Bachelorette, where he earned plenty of enemies for telling Katie that there were several people on the show there for the wrong reasons—despite having zero evidence to back up his claims. After a tearful night, Katie sent him home.
Natasha Parker (from Peter’s season of The Bachelor)
Natasha’s expressions on Peter’s season of The Bachelor were everything. The event planner landed a one-on-one with Peter, but the two didn’t gel and she was sent home.
Kelsey Weier (from Peter’s season of The Bachelor) OUT
Kelsey spent a lot of her time on Peter’s season of The Bachelor crying—and then there was that moment she completely freaked out after her plan to drink a special bottle of champagne with Peter was accidentally ruined. Kelsey made it to hometowns, but she didn’t win Peter’s heart. On BiP, she didn’t last as long and was one of the first three contestants to go home.
Joe Amabile (from Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette and Season 5 of BIP)
Fans were outraged when the sweet, soft-spoken Joe (a.k.a. Grocery Store Joe) didn’t make it past night one on Becca’s season of The Bachelorette. But Joe fell in love with Kendall Long on Season 5 of BIP and the two had a sweet, easygoing relationship. They dated for years before breaking up.
Victoria Paul (from Peter’s season of The Bachelor) QUIT
Victoria is a nurse who had a great relationship with Peter from the start…until she got caught up in a lie about whether she knew fellow contestant Alayah Benavidez. Victoria ended up getting sent home. On Season 7 of BiP, she wound up sending herself home before the first round of roses, quitting the show after a mini-meltdown about whether she was really on the beach for the right reasons (other contestants claimed she currently had a boyfriend back home).
Maurissa Gunn (from Peter’s season of The Bachelor)
Maurissa was a former Miss Teen Montana who appeared on Peter’s season of The Bachelor. She didn’t make it far into the show, though—she was eliminated on Week 1.
Mari Pepin-Solis (from Peter’s season of The Bachelor)
Mari is a former pageant contestant who formed an early connection with Matt James. She was known for standing her ground, and had a little friction with Queen Victoria.
Noah Erb (from Clare and Tayshia’s season of The Bachelorette)
Noah got Tayshia’s attention early on for his mustache…which she urged him to shave off. His unabashed confidence didn’t earn him any fans in the house, though. Tayshia eventually sent him home.
Serena Chew (from Matt’s season of The Bachelor) OUT
Serena found herself in trouble after she falsely accused Katie Thurston of causing drama on Matt James’ season of The Bachelor. Matt didn’t stand for it, and sent her home. On BiP, she was among the first three contestants to be eliminated from Season 7.
Brendan Morais (from Clare and Tayshia’s season of The Bachelorette) QUIT
Brendan became an immediate fan favorite on The Bachelorette thanks to his laidback nature, sweet smile, and obvious love for his niece. Brendan left Tayshia’s season after realizing he wasn’t ready to get engaged again.
Tahzjuan Hawkins (from Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor and BIP Season 6) QUIT
Tahzjuan was sent home on night one of Colton’s season of The Bachelor, and also didn’t stick around during BIP Season 6 after having a bad date with John Paul Jones.
Serena Pitt (from Matt’s season of The Bachelor)
The confident, self-assured publicist formed an early connection with Matt but she ultimately decided it wasn’t enough. Serena left the show on her own after hometown dates, telling Matt, “I don’t think you are my person.”
Tammy Ly (from Peter’s season of The Bachelor) OUT
Tammy stirred up plenty of drama on Peter’s season of The Bachelor, but butting heads with Mykenna Dorn ended up leading to her downfall. Both she and Mykenna were sent home after a two-on-one date.
Are there Bachelor in Paradise Season 7 spoilers?
Reality Steve predicted back in July 2021 that former Bachelorette star Becca and Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise alum Tia Booth will show up over the course of Season 7. Becca is “not original cast but arrives before the first rose ceremony,” Reality Steve wrote on Twitter. The other contestants expected to arrive on the show, per Reality Steve, will all have shown up as of the Aug. 31 episode: Chasen Nick, Kendall Long, Riley Christian and Chris Conran. Reality Steve has also listed who’s expected to couple up over the course of the season:
Brendan Morais and Natasha ParkerTammy Ly and Thomas JacobsDemi Burnett and Kenny BraaschIvan Hall and Jessenia CruzJoe Amabile and Serena PittKenny Braasch and Mari PepinRiley Christian and Maurissa GunnBecca Kufrin and Thomas JacobsNoah Erb and Abigail Heringer
A source previously told Us Weekly that Brendan and former Bachelor star Pieper James are in a relationship, adding that they met through “mutual friends.” Like ABC producers? Reality Steve says they both go on the show, but it’s unclear if they partnered up there or before or after filming wrapped. Becca and Thomas reportedly date until the end of the season, but eventually break up. “If you thought Thomas got a lot of airtime this season, just wait till Paradise,” Reality Steve wrote on Twitter. “Thomas is heavily involved with Becca Kufrin for the last half of BIP, but she eventually breaks up with him before the finale.” Chasen is also involved in drama with Becca, after he told the men before the show that they had hung out. “Becca called him out for being there for clout. He went on a date when he arrived with Deandra but never got a rose,” Reality Steve wrote. Kenny is involved in a love triangle with Mari and Demi, but he eventually settles on Mari. Apparently Kendall has trouble seeing her former boyfriend Joe with someone else, too, Reality Steve says. Also, there are three engagements on the show:
Joe Amabile and Serena PittKenny Braasch and Mari PepinRiley Christian and Maurissa Gunn
Bachelor in Paradise will premiere on Aug. 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. The Bachelor in Paradise Season 7 finale is slated to air on Tues., Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
