Earlier today, the actress shared what appeared to be a behind-the-scenes snippet of her lunch break while on the set of The Drew Barrymore Show. In it, Barrymore offered an alternative method to eating a slice of pizza, and everyone had something to say about it. “If you’re having a day where you’re trying to like not eat the bread,” Barrymore said as she shuffled through a pizza box before cutting herself off, “I’m sure people are gonna be like ‘how dare you do this to a pizza,’ I get it I feel really guilty about it myself,” she admitted. “I take the top of the pizza and a little salad, which has basically all the same toppings as the pizza, and then I make a pizza salad and mix it all up,” she explained as she drizzled the dressing over her cheese-y, olive, and pepper salad. Barrymore later described the dish as “crunchy” and “satisfying,” adding that it’s a good hack for people who may be watching how much gluten they consume. “Pizza Salad!” she captioned the video. Soon after posting, fans and friends rushed to the comments to give Barrymore a slice of their mind. “This Just made me mad 😂,” one fan wrote. “Girl… just eat the pizza. It’ll be ok,” a separate comment read. Another Instagram user admitted: “i love bread too much 😭 i don’t think i could do it.” “Who’s going to tell her about cauliflower pizza?” someone else joked. But not everyone hated it; some thought Barrymore was on to something. “I want in,” commented fellow actress Selma Blair, who later added, “Looks so good.” Jersey Shore alum Jenni Farley (Jwoww) drooled over Barrymore’s concoction, writing “mmm.” While Paris Hilton left some simple love: heart eyes and a pizza emoji. A few fans also said that their local pizza parlors offer similar options, “Our local pizza places do pizza bowl bakes,” wrote one, while someone else provided a more in-depth explanation, “They actually have this at a local pizza place!!!
