Gabrielle Union, her husband, Dwyane Wade, and their four-year-old daughter, Kaavia, took the spotlight during their red carpet moment at the premiere of Union’s latest project, Strange World. The family of three borrowed from the animated film’s color palette and donned three chic and complimentary outfits at the El Capitan Theatre premiere on Nov. 15 in Los Angeles, California. Union shared a series of snaps from last night’s family-forward fashion statement to Instagram, captioning the post with a sweet ode to the importance of community, “Strange World 🖤 And we’re just living’ in it. We all we got🖤.” In the photos, the 50-year-old actress posed in a bright pink gown with a deep V-neck, floral embellishments, a simple yet elegant updo, and a matching purse. Her husband and former NBA player, 40, chose a sleek, all-black look with a little pop of color for his footwear–hot pink Valentino Garavani sneakers. Their toddler daughter borrowed a little bit of fashion sense from both mom and dad, rocking a monochromatic look like dad with a mini version of mom’s purse. While the family prepared for their big night out on the town, Union also shared a little behind-the-scenes video on Instagram of her before-and-after transformation for the red carpet. In the video, Union’s glam squad could be seen putting the finishing touches on the actress before she showed off her impeccable transition skills. “Never fumble the bag,” she joked in the caption. Fans quickly piled on in the comments to tell the star how great she looked and share their excitement for her latest Disney creation. Singer-songwriter SZA was among the first to sing Union’s praises, “GREAT catch tho 😍.” TV personality Melinda Berry also hyped up the actress, commenting, “Daaammnnn 🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️.” In theaters Nov. 23, Union is joined by the voices of Dennis Quaid and Jake Gyllenhaal in this action-packed tale that’s said to follow a family of explorers as they attempt to navigate an uncharted, treacherous land alongside a crew that includes a mischievous blob, a three-legged dog and a slew of ravenous creatures.
