On July 5, Subway announced a new menu change called the Subway Series via a press release. The menu change features 12 new sandwiches which are broken up into 4 different categories: cheesesteaks, Italianos, chicken, and clubs. The 12 sandwiches include three new cheesesteaks featuring The Philly, The Outlaw, and The Monster. It also includes new Italiano sandwiches such as Supreme Meats, Bella Mozza, and The Boss. Additionally, in the chicken category, you will be able to order the new MexiCali, The Great Garlic, and The Champ. Lastly, in the club’s category there is the All-American Club, Subway Club, and the Turkey Cali Club. Our mouths are watering just thinking about them! Here’s a breakdown of some of the Sammies: The Monster includes thick juicy steak, along with crispy bacon, Monterey cheddar, fresh green peppers, and red onions served toasted on srtisan Italian bread and topped with creamy Peppercorn Ranch. The new creamy garlic sauce is the star of the show in the new Great Garlic sandwich. It includes delicious rotisserie chicken, crispy bacon, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and red onions, all served on artisan Italian bread topped with the new creamy roasted garlic aioli. Yum! This next sandwich is a classic All-American club that everyone knows and loves. It includes delicious oven-roasted turkey, black forest ham, crispy bacon, American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and red onions, and is topped with mayo served on toasted artisan Italian bread. Who doesn’t love a delicious meatball sandwich? The Boss showcases Subway’s signature juicy meatballs topped with marinara sauce, slices of pepperoni, and Belgioioso fresh mozzarella. It’s finished off with a sprinkle of parmesan and served on toasted Italian herbs and cheese bread. Last but not least, the Supreme Meats is stacked with black forest ham, genoa salami, pepperoni, and capicola with provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, banana peppers, and is topped with a tasty parmesan vinaigrette on artisan Italian bread. “The Subway Series is the most ambitious undertaking in company history, as we are changing the nearly 60-year-old blueprint that helped make Subway a global phenomenon,” said Trevor Haynes, President, North America at Subway. He continued: “Last summer’s Eat Fresh Refresh laid the foundation to build a better Subway, and now the Subway Series enhances the entire Subway guest experience – proof that we continue to improve and get way better. Whether you leave the sandwich-making to us or are craving your custom creation, there are more reasons than ever to make Subway your dining destination.” Along with the new menu comes a new and unique way of ordering for the sandwich chain. Instead of guests picking and choosing ingredients and toppings during the ordering process, they will now have the opportunity to simply say a sandwich number or name and choose the length of the sandwich (6-inch or footlong.) This will create a faster and easier way of ordering for all Subway foodies.
