Why do we wear pink for breast cancer awareness month?

Pink is the color ribbon for breast cancer. The story of how the pink ribbon originated dates back to the early 90s.  In 1992, Evelyn Lauder of Estée Lauder Cosmetics launched The Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign and collaborated with several others to create the pink ribbon as its symbol.
