The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stopped by the UK on their way to the Netherlands, where the Invictus Games are being held. It was confirmed by the couple’s spokesperson that the trip to Windsor Castle took place on Thursday morning. Harper’sBazaar writes the couple were driven to the queen’s residence from Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor estate. Frogmore Cottage is where Meghan and Harry lived after their marriage, and where their son Archie spent the first few months of his life. The Sussexes are currently renting their former home to Princess Eugenieand Jack Brooksbank, who visited the Sussexes in Montecito earlier this year. It’s also ‘understood’ that the couple met with Prince Charles andDuchess Camilla. This was Meghan’s first time back in the UK since she and Harry returned briefly in March 2020, when the Sussexes were reunited with other members of the royal family for Commonwealth Day, at which the duchess wore her famous green caped ‘revenge dress.’ Harry has been back to the UK several times since then, most notably last April for his grandfather Prince Philip’s funeral. He also made a short visit in July when he andPrince Williamunveiled a statue of Princess Diana on what would have been their late mother’s 60th birthday. Meghan and Harry will attend two Invictus receptions scheduled for Friday, and on Saturday will speak at the Games’ opening ceremony. This will be the first time we’ve seen the couple in public together since the NACCP Awards in February. Next up, the biggest bombshells that Meghan and Harry dropped during their Oprah interview.
