Series stars Vanessa Lachey, Alex Tarrant, Noah Mills, Jason Antoon, Yasmine Al-Bustami and Tori Anderson, as well as the producers and the crew, participated. Kahu (Officiant) Kordell Kekoa officiated the ceremony, which included traditional royal maile leis, Oli Aloha (welcoming chant), and Pule Ho’oku’u (closing prayer). In honor of the show’s second season, the ceremony centered around “hana hou,” which translates to “work new” and “do it again!” Here’s everything we know about the second season so far:

When does NCIS: Hawai’i season 2 premiere?

NCIS: Hawai’i will premiere its second season on Monday, Sept. 19.

Who is in the NCIS: Hawai’i cast for season 2?

Vanessa Lachey as Jane Tennant

Jane Tennant is the first woman Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the NCIS branch in Hawai’i. She is also a single mother of three kids, who balances the duty to her children and her country masterfully.

Noah Mills as Jesse

Jesse is a former big-city homicide detective who relocated to Hawaii and now is a seasoned member of Jane Tennant’s team, serving as her lieutenant. He is also a devoted family man.

Alex Tarrant as Kai Holman

Kai is a native of Hawaii who left the island to join the Marines but returned to the island to help care for his ailing father.

Yasmine Al-Bustami as Lucy Tara

Lucy is the newest member of Tennant’s team, so while she brings a youthful enthusiasm, she still has some skills, even if she still has some learning to do.

Jason Antoon as Ernie Malik

As an NCIS’ Cyber Intelligence Specialist, Ernie is a wizard when it comes to computers, but he also has a keen mind for history, literature and all things Hawaiian.

Tori Anderson as Kate Whistler

Kate Whistler began season one as an Officer with Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) but changed jobs and is now a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In fact, she turned down a promotion which would have required her to move to Washington, D.C. to stay near Lucy in hopes of mending their broken relationship.

Kian Talan as Alex Tennant

Alex is the oldest of Jane’s children, who looked to have a career in baseball until he sustained a career-ending injury while playing which required surgery.

Is there a trailer for NCIS: Hawai’i season 2?

Production just began on June 27, so check back when the series has some film in the can because the show needs new footage to produce a trailer for season 2.

Will there be a crossover with NCIS or NCIS: Los Angeles?

That is a definite yes. The casts of NCIS and NCIS: Hawaii crossover in a special event for their respective 20th and second seasons when both series return for the fall season. The two-hour back-to-back episodes have both NCIS teams on a hunt for a dangerous suspect that unveils a complex network and a larger sinister plan that will take several members of the D.C. team to Hawaii in a race to thwart the next large-scale attack against RIMPAC (The Rim of the Pacific Exercises), the world’s largest international maritime warfare exercise.

How did NCIS: Hawai’i season 1 end?

The season one finale was the end of a two-part episode in which Captain Joe Milius (Enver Gjoka) teamed up with Tennant and her team to learn who sabotaged the prisoner exchange that Milius had worked hard to secure that took place in part one. Both the American journalist and the Russian spy, who were exchanged, were murdered after the swap and died from being poisoned. Evidence led to the doctor who had been onboard the Coast Guard plane that Milius, Tenant and the journalist were returning to Hawaii in, and the doctor admitted he had been recruited by Silver Moon, the same Dark Web entity that orchestrated the murder of the Navy commander in part one that initially got Tennant and her team involved in the case. But the danger wasn’t over. There was a meeting taking place of The Group, hosted by Milius, and Tennant and her team figured out that the true perpetrator was Colin McIntyre, one of Milius’s counterparts in The Group, who planned to bomb the meeting. Of course, the NCIS team came to the rescue just in time and made their arrest. With the case finally closed, Milius told Tennant he would like them to be a “regular thing,” but she pointed out her life is in Hawaii, while his is in D.C. That night, Tennant hosted her team for a dinner at her home. Lucy kept waiting for Kate to appear, but Kate never showed until, she serenaded Lucy, who was up on the balcony, singing Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love.”  It was a grand gesture that had been recommended by Ernie and reminiscent of the John Cusack scene in “Say Anything,” minus the boombox.

How many episodes of NCIS: Hawai’i will there be?

We don’t know yet, but we’re hoping for a full 22-episode season.

Are there any NCIS: Hawai’i spoilers?

None yet, but based on the series finale, we are hoping for a couple of things. One is that Milius will make more visits for work to Hawaii in season 2, so he and Tennant can continue their relationship. Two, we would like to see Lucy and Kate work out their issues and become an actual couple. And three, although not in the finale, we would like for Alex Tennant to rehab and be able to return to baseball after his surgery, but if not that, we would like to see him figure out what is next for his life.

Where will NCIS: Hawai’i film?

The majority of the filming for NCIS: Hawai’i is the island of Oahu with the Hawaii Film Studio in Honolulu, which was home to Hawaii Five-0, as home base. But the point of setting a series in the Hawaiian Islands is to capture the beauty of the 50th state, so there are a lot of location shoots, such as filming at the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Waikiki Beach, and the North Shore, among others.
