The former motocross competitor shared an update on social media from his hospital bed earlier this week to assure his followers that things were going smoothly. Giving a thumbs up to the camera, Hart wrote, “Surgery went great!!!!! Already been up and out of my bed 3 times cruising the surgery center. Ended up fusing the vertebrae because the joint was a bit hammered. Special thank you. to @discmd ‘s Dr Bray 🤘🏼🤘🏼.” T. J. Lavin, the longtime host of The Challenge and a professional BMX rider, commented on his friend’s post, writing, “Atta boy.. that’s my guy up and at em!” Lavin faced his own serious medical scare when he sustained a brain injury and had to be put in a medically-induced coma for a time as a result of a BMX crash in 2010, as MTV reported. Hart, who shares two children–Willow, 11, and Jameson, 5–with Pink, shared a more in-depth update on his health in a video posted later. He said: “Well, 24 hours after I checked in, I’m ready to cruise out of here. I’m on my own two feet as you can see. Little battle wound where they went in to do my fusion in my neck, but feeling great…I’m pretty happy. No medication through the night. Had a Valium and Percocet before bed and nothing through the night. Woke up, did my walks, my shoulder shrugs, moved my head a little bit. Take it nice and easy. But stoked.” Hart ended the message by thanking everyone for their kind thoughts and support, further writing in the caption, “Thank you so much to the amazing staff that took care of me and my wife the last 24 hours.” Despite just going through such a major surgery, Hart couldn’t stay away from his bikes, sharing a few images of himself fixing up a motorcycle in the shop. The 47-year-old captioned the photos, “Recovery time is over, back to work 🤣🤣🤣. This @indianmotorcycle #Pursuit isn’t gonna build itself!!!! 5 days post-op. I’m good ✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻.” More News:
