But then the rest of the cast was revealed, and several others had some dance training in their backgrounds, like Melora Hardin, Amanda Kloots, and even Cody Rigsby, which has meant that it has been a crazy season for predictions as to who would take home the trophy. On Monday night, things became clearer when Melora and Suni were eliminated in the semi-finals, leaving JoJo, Amanda, Cody and Iman Shumpert headed to the finale and the win.
Who will win Dancing with the Stars?
Now, the odds-on favorite to take home the Mirror Ball Trophy is JoJo and her professional partner Jenna Johnson. While Melora was awarded the first 10 of the season, JoJo and Jenna got the first perfect score, and have had several since. At this point in time, despite her shocking one week in the bottom two, the smart money is on JoJo to win. Amanda Kloots looks to be JoJo’s major competition. She definitely has the judges’ scores to back her up, but this week, Amanda somehow ended up in the bottom three with Suni and Melora. It could have just been a glitch that her fans didn’t vote, but it took judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough to save her and put her through to the finale. Iman Shumpert has been the biggest surprise of the season. He has gone where no other NBA player has gone before: the finale! In fact, Derek told Parade.com, “Look at Iman Shumpert, for instance. By no means is he the best dancer, but there’s something about him that you just love watching, right? He just has this swag about him.” It is unlikely that Shumpert will win. He will most likely place third based on NBA fan votes, but he has been a contender all season. And Cody should end up in fourth place. In fact, it is surprising he made the finale at all. First there was the issue with him, and partner Cheryl Burke, being diagnosed with breakthrough COVID, so the first week after contracting the virus, they were unable to dance and the show played their rehearsal video for the judges to rate, and the second week, Cody and Cheryl each danced from their separate homes. The show went to great lengths not to disqualify them, but now when more graceful dancers with higher judges’ scores like Melora and Suni have been eliminated, it seems that may have been an error in judgment. The Dancing with the Stars finale will air live on Monday, Nov. 22 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. Next, The Semi-Finals Are Here! Who Went Home on Dancing With the Stars in Week 9?
